European Open Championship is a junior national team tournament played alongside Partille Cup every year. The tournament alternates between women and men and this year it’s open for women born in 1996 or younger. The final will be played at Scandinavium – the largest indoor arena in Gothenburg in front of a large crowd. The other venues are Valhalla and Lisebergshallen.
Year 2013, 22 teams competed for the European title. Sweden have won three of the previous four men’s EOC – and the hosts are among the favourites this year too. But great handball nations such as Spain, Denmark, Russia will surely put up a great fight.
European Open is organized by Partille Cup in collaboration with the Swedish Handball Federation and the European Handball Federation.
